Abstract

This paper deals with the advancements in the agricultural field using the latest technology LoRa. Agriculture is
the most crucial sector of the Indian economy, which plays a decisive role in the socio-economic development
of the country. The Indian sector of agriculture accounts about 18% of Indias gross domestic production (GDP)
and employs half of the countries workforce. There are many issues related to agriculture, which always
hampers the course of our advancement. Encouraging farmers to use modern techniques is one of the best
solutions to tackle these problems. As they help in increasing agricultural yield and reduces the input cost. [1]
This paper proposes solutions to measure humidity, soil moisture, and temperature with the help of sensors,
LoRa, as well as Cloud technology. The data acquied from the sensors will be sent to the cloud database, which
gives information to the end-user. It is a combination of LoRa and cloud computing. This idea promotes the fast
development of agricultural improvement helps to realize an apt solution for agriculture and effectually solves
the issues related to agriculture from a remote location. [1]
